Inside Blocksmith Works: Six Years of Shipping
In 2020 we were three engineers writing token contracts from a single room. The work was simple; the lesson wasn't: clients didn't need contracts, they needed products that survived mainnet. That realization rebuilt the studio.
2021 taught us process. Our first full dApp builds exposed every gap — wallet UX nobody owned, indexers nobody planned, launches nobody rehearsed. We answered with the six-stage process we still run: discovery through launch, with testnet demos from week two.
2022 forced multi-chain thinking as fees pushed users to L2s. 2023's DeFi and infrastructure practice — Aurelia, YieldGrid, ChainLens — taught us guarded launches and the economics-first review. 2024 brought enterprise systems with compliance constraints, and 2025 took us international across nine countries.
What hasn't changed: senior engineers on every build, tests written alongside contracts, and the willingness to say "don't build this." Thirty-plus mainnet systems later, those three habits are still the studio.
